Ladies Conference 2019 Details

MAY 24–26 OR MAY 31–JUNE 2

A weekend of personal retreat, refreshment and renewal is in store for you during 2019

Life these days seems to move at a hectic pace. The list of demands and ‘to-do’s’ grows daily leaving us longing for a reset, a pause, a chance to catch our breath. A weekend away has been designed for you to do just that: retreat, refresh and renew. The Staff Ladies at Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre invite you to come and spend focused time in God’s Word, be quiet in Christ’s presence and enjoy being a little spoiled too.

Conference Speaker

Elizabeth Joslin

Born in England yet raised in Calgary, AB, Elizabeth Joslin has served at Capernwray Harbour for over 20 years in multiple roles including Conference Registrar and more recently as the Personnel Manager for the Centre.

Whether she is registering conference guests, dialoging with staff members or teaching in the classroom, Elizabeth’s compassion and practical concern for others is an outpouring of the love and faithfulness she has received from the Lord Jesus.

Elizabeth enjoys spending time in the outdoors observing God’s created beauty, spending time with family and friends and a good, hot cup of orange pekoe tea.

Conference Topic:

ACT-ivate YOUR FAITH — A Study in the Book of James

James’s heart for the Christ-followers of the early church was to remain faithful and true to the ONE Who is faithful and true, the Lord Jesus Christ. In this incredibly practical letter to the brethren, James addresses issues relating to both the inner and outer landscapes of the believers’ lives. His words penned centuries ago apply today as we are encouraged to be a people set apart for God’s glory, genuine in word and deed, waiting in active faith (regardless of circumstances) for His triumphant return.

“In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.” James 1:18
