SCHEDULE

A Week at Capernwray Harbour

English Proficiency Requirements

All students enrolled at Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre whose first or primary language is not English must demonstrate a solid grasp of both spoken and written English. This is to ensure a successful, positive and enriching experience for the student as all classes are taught in English.

Bible School applicants are not required to verify academic credentials related to English language proficiency, but are rather assessed by way of the written application process and subsequent follow up phone calls/conversations and communication with the Bible School Registrar prior to acceptance into the Bible School Programme. Based on these assessments, suitability for the programme will be determined and the applicant advised of their acceptance status.

Items to Note

All students must leave the Bible School for Christmas and Midterm Breaks (Midterm breaks are not applicable for the 2021/22 Bible School).

Chartered bus rides will be arranged through Capernwray Harbour for our Christmas Break & Yearend. Students wishing to purchase a chartered bus ride will depart Thetis Island at 6:10 am, arriving at Chemainus at 7:10 am. For those traveling by plane and wishing to be dropped off at either the Victoria or Nanaimo Airports, we recommend booking an early afternoon flight or later to allow time to make your travel connections. Those catching either the Nanaimo or Victoria ferries, please refer to the BC Ferries website for the current schedules and information. For their return from Christmas Break, students will need to be at the appropriate locations in Victoria by 12:30 pm & Nanaimo by 2:45 pm for their pick up.

Sign-ups and payment for these chartered bus rides take place throughout the Bible School year. Rates will be confirmed at the beginning of the year and communicated through announcements before travel times. For any questions, please contact our Main Office.

Please maintain your commitment to this year of Bible School by not arranging additional holidays during the programme which allows yourself to attend the complete course.
