Bible School Happenings
The students have returned from their Spring Break adventures. Thank you to all who prayed for them as they walked in faith whether at home or abroad.
It sounds like the organized trips went well.
Read below for a taste of a few of the trips:
The Homestead (Snohomish WA USA):
" As is typical, Sony is slaving away night and day and just came in at 8:30 PM after working on the John Deere Mower. He did maintenance on the Backhoe, Polaris Ranger, and John Deere mower today. Mikaela greased them all while Sony changed the oil a filters. She is the grease monkey now.
We got all of the sheet rocking done in the new room and so Brett and Hannah started taping and mudding today and got most of the first coat done.
We have a retreat here today and so all three girls helped Teresa work in the kitchen during the day at various times."
Hope Place (UGM Seattle WA USA):
"We have done childcare, weeding, removed a few small trees, carpet cleaning, deep cleaned the dining room walls and floor, deep cleaned the kitchen, cleaned the washroom and laundry room floors, organized a toy closet, just to name a few of the things.
It's an encouragement to be here at Hope place, it's real people meeting the real Jesus in the context of real life, and it's refreshing.
These ladies are at a point where they need to face there issues, face there Giants in order to know Hope, and Life. I fear that all to often we find things to hide in rather than facing these things in our lives, weather that be work, relationship, family or whatever. But here people are done with hiding and are learning to make progress. It's great to see what Jesus is doing here. And you can't help but be challenged by that. "
A Journey of a Lifetime
Israel & Jordan Tour:
"Reading Scripture on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, at the traditional site where Jesus appeared to His disciples after the resurrection and prepared a meal of fish for them on the beach."
"Spending some quiet reflection time considering the agony of Christ under the olive trees of the Garden of Gethsemane"
"The Garden Tomb where it may have been that Jesus' body was buried before being raised to life. We shared communion here as we remembered His body broken for us and His command to go and do the same!"
