Our students are a varied lot at Capernwray! They range in age from eighteen to seventy, though, to be sure, most are at the lower end of that range. Our students come from the four corners of the earth, from every continent.

Students at Capernwray Bible School also come from different churches and denominations, but we all commonly worship Jesus Christ, so these differences provide us with the glory of diversity, not any pinch of division.

Community is our lifebreath at Capernwray. We learn and we live in community, and keep our head and our heart on task in the hands-on "workday" experience. Workday involves new skills, new areas of learning service, such as lawncare, gardening, shop, maintenance, road and trail work, food preparation, roomcare, and administration. Every Wednesday, we engage the whole day in this activity. Each student will enjoy activities relating to many of these areas, as we rotate each few weeks.

Students love the workdays because they are a change from the classroom, becuase they expose each student to new colleagues, and because work conversations and friendship-building are so rewarding!
