Why create journals?

Creating a Journal during the Bible School Outreach programme allows the students to think through their daily experiences, to allow a greater perspective, and to realize the importance of the everyday. Plus, it helps the students to remember it all when they return!

Seattle Diary

These Seattle Outreach diaries were created by students taking a Spring Break Outreach trip to Seattle, Washington. The journey included visits to a men's shelter, services at various chapels, and wonderful conversations with the clients and staff of the shelters.

Mexico Outreach

The Mexico Outreach journals include the students' experiences of being on the road in a van from Capernwray to Mexico, a visit to an orphanage, helping in construction projects, marvelling at the Mexican food, then returning via the California beaches and a quick jaunt to Hollywood.

Spring Break Staff Testimonies

The Spring Break staff testimonies relate the experiences of students who stayed on as staff, performing domestic duties at Capernwray. The students found great revelations even in the mundane tasks of their service at the Centre.
