LETTERS TO THE SEVEN CHURCHES - Christ the Living Word evaluates, encourages and teaches His Body (the Church) by the standard of Himself! He is the standard by which He approves or disapproves, values or counts vile, is pleased or displeased. Christ does not merely give us the standard, He is the standard!

Christ Jesus doesn't just bless and put His "stamp of approval" on our plans, works, efforts, programmes and strategies.  In fact, to 5 of the 7 churches, Christ admonishes them to repent—return to the Lord.  A Christian is to be characterized by Christ Himself.
