Bible School Student Testimonials: Krystal Ergang

1) Ventures - it was a great way to get to know people at the beginning of the year

2) Workday - I went to Kuper on workday... which was a lot of work in a different way! it was so awesome though, and I really got to know the people who I went with, we had good talks. being at Kuper with people who needed way more than what we had to offer was a huge challenge. we prayed for them a lot and from what I've heard, God is doing big things there.

3) Study Projects - really interesting, sometimes challenging though. at times the projects caused a lot of questions, which is good. its good to challenge your faith and what you believe in. its also really neat to bring so many Christians with so many doctrinal backgrounds together to talk about God's word, everyone sees things a little different.

4) Sunday Nights - probably something I looked forward to the most every week. it was always encouraging to hear what God was doing in someone else's life, and to just sing your heart out to the Lord.

5) Student Body Life ( Sports/Special activities (i.e. Theme meals/ Bungee jumping) - they were fun, everyone participated...

6) Cabin Life - I have never met such awesome people and such good friends in my lifetime. it was by far the best thing about Capernwray for me. the late night chats, all the laughter and tears, it was so sooo good. I miss my girls a lot!!

7) Staff Involvement - I personally didn't really get to know any of the staff all that well. that being said, the staff was very visible and friendly, and contributed a lot to the experience.

8) Journals - my journals are something I will always cherish. sometimes the process was not that fun, or seemed a little repetitive, but I'm really thankful that I completed them and allowed God to work in my heart while doing them.

9) Missions Trips (if you went on one) n/a

10) Field Trips (i.e. Missions Fest) temple tours was probably the most memorable field trip, it was so neat to have the opportunity to visit all those different mosques and churches and etc... it really made me thankful for JESUS and the hope we have in Him.

11) Food - the food was very good :)

12) Accommodations - sometimes it would have been nice to have more space, but I was seriously blessed with the best roomies ever, so it was rarely an issue... it was fun, kind of like being at camp for a year with the bunk beds and all...

13) Location - almost the best place in the world :)

14) Daily Duties - I worked in the pump house which was a lot of fun, there you got to meet everyone pretty much, and sometimes when people were lonely they'd just stop by and chat, it was great.

15) What was the most significant thing for you about Bible School this year? What will you take away? the most significant thing for me was learning to have a deeper understanding and appreciation of the bible. it was good to have some of the things I believe to be true challenged. my roomies and I had many intense conversations about God and who He, and what is true is and etc, especially since all of us came from very different Christian backgrounds. one from a brethren background, a catholic, a random whatever goes, and one from and alliance background. it was so good, and all of us were searching for more in our lives. I was truly blessed belong what I thought possible.

16) Was it worth it? a million times YES!

tiny little update on me: I'm doing very well, I got married in May, it was wonderful and I love being with the man of my dreams :) God has been working in my life a lot, bringing me to my knee's often, I don't think I've even had the chance in the past year or so to forget about how much I need Jesus. I've just started teaching a jr. high girls Sunday school class, and Jason and I and a few other couples are planning on starting an outreach to high school aged unchurched kids by the end of October. I'm working at a tiny law firm in downtown Calgary, and I am defiantly the only Christian there, but its really awesome. I know that where I am is where I'm supposed to be :)

I hope everyone at capes is doing wonderful!
