I was on domestics for the spring break
and I would say the main thing the Lord taught me was that even in
the repetitive, mundane I need to be resting in His strength,
life, joy and love or all that's seen is my flesh and He is not
glorified.

Even the simple everyday should be
miraculous and joyful because I have access to His divine nature
and power (2 Peter 1:2-4) and it is Him doing His work through us
if we are walking in availability and obedience to Him. That is
truly the purpose of our lives, to glorify God and be transformed
into His image. Tara Petriw

I have to admit I was a little
discontent with my position here for the break once I found out
where some of my friends were going but then, through prayer and
God's grace, my heart was softened towards the idea of staying
here on staff for the 2 1/2 weeks.

I met lots of new people (believer &
non-believers) and was given the opportunity to learn a few new
skills around the property. Before I started, someone explained to
me that the domestic staff is on the 'front-line', the 'face of
Capernwray!'.

Anyone who comes here to be served by
us is going to see our actions and our attitudes and notice what
we say so they would also see Christ through the decisions we make
if we let them. The Lord did give me trials but I remembered and
discussed James 1: 2-3 with my team: "Consider it pure joy my
brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the
testing of your faith produces endurance".

I can see what God has taught me
through staying here & the blessings that I've received from
obeying what I know He wanted me to do! I may not have seen God's
plan for me right away, but His plans are always good. I see that
now. As we studied the Psalms during devotions, I read Psalm 2:8,
"Ask of Me & I will surely give the nations as your inheritance ,
and the very ends of the earth as your possession." I just needed
to ask the Lord; consult Him regarding all my thoughts &
discontentment; He knew where I should be. How blessed are those
who take refuge in Him!
